An incredible leap forward
(and of course, upward)
You've seen that changes are afoot in the world of esports tournament platforms. Well, there's a bit more you haven't seen yet.
And the way we want to introduce ourselves is by putting our best foot forward, with a preview of a few things we're doing that we believe the community wants to see.
Mobile is the way
We focus most on the devices you use, and the worst thing that could happen when seconds count is your phone locking up. We're making mobile functionality and optimization a first-class priority, with features like checking in attendees via QR code, accessing event data offline, and even notifications*.
Your data, your control
We respect the importance of your data. Typically, organizers can receive your information for purposes such as contact or regional seeding.
We're working on a way to ensure your email address stays hidden to organizers, especially in mass communication.
In addition, you'll be told exactly what data is collected and organizers can give justifications for collecting this data.
The one for your run
With user submissions, scheduling, and run management in the same place you manage your event registration, speedruning marathons are a breeze. Supporting both pure against-the-clock runs as well as competitive first-to-finish races.
A league of its own
Whether you're running weekly events or competing in a seasonal championship, wield the power of leagues to your advantage. Recurring events are easy to schedule and present to players. Plus, players can be ranked with MMR-based or custom point systems.
And a few others...
Progression into utopia
We believe there's a lot to solve when it comes to multi-stage competitions, and it's just a few UX ideas away from becoming a reality. In any case, consolation/redemption brackets seem poised for a resurgence.
Keep track of your favorites
Can't catch the stream as it airs? Get notified about the players you care about as they battle against the competition, and see their results as they get reported.
Good things come to those who wait
When a competition fills up, players can join a waitlist, and provide first-come first-serve signups in the event of no-shows or expanded registration.
More than just JSON
Our API will be great at launch with select write access unlocked to a few, but we'll be experimenting with tools that give a bit more power to get even more done, such as webhooks.
More than just our schema
On top of data security we think data portability is important, so in the future we're proposing a new standard that allows events to be represented in a common data schema, with feedback and comments welcome and encouragement for all platforms to consider adpoting.
More than the words on this page
There's a lot of story left to tell. Stay tuned.
So what's next?
We're in closed testing at the moment, and will have more to share soon.
To close, we are well aware that others may have bigger name recognition or more in funding. But we have something that can't be taken for granted on our side: passion. Add to that a small side of insanity, we will go insane if the people don't get what they want. And maybe also if they do, but like, in a good way.
* Push notifications are only guaranteed to be supported on Android devices. SMS notifications may be available for select events, and could incur standard messaging rates.
